Welcome to KU's Middle East Studies

The University of Kansas is dedicated to the study of the Middle East. KU supports teaching and research on the region across various disciplines including political science, history, language, religion, literature, sociology, anthropology, and architecture.

The Middle East Studies program is a cooperative endeavor, through which we hope to strengthen, unify and build upon the many resources available at University of Kansas.
